Embody Her in Motion™ Retreat

The Embodied Reset — A 2-Day Immersive Experience

A small, founder-led 2-day retreat for women who yearn for more.

We use Latin ballroom movement as a doorway to our most truthful, expressive, and powerful selves. No dance experience needed. Just a willingness to move, feel, and be seen.

March 21–22, 2026 · Boston Area

When You’re Longing for More

Many women come to this work not because something is “wrong,”
but because something feels quieter than it used to.

They’re capable. Accomplished. Responsible.
And yet, somewhere along the way, parts of themselves grew less visible.

They spend a lot of time in their heads — thinking, managing, holding it all together. Their bodies feel more like something to carry than something to listen to.

It’s not that they’ve disappeared.
It’s that they miss the version of themselves that felt expressive, alive, and fully present.

Coming Back Into Wholeness

Many women don’t feel disconnected because something is wrong.

They feel disconnected because one part of them has had to do most of the work.

Thought takes up a lot of space — planning, managing, deciding, holding everything together. And while the mind has been busy doing its job, other parts of the self have been asked to wait.

Feeling. Instinct. The body.

This work is about bringing the whole self back into the room.

Embodiment is the experience of wholeness — connecting what you know and what you feel with how you move through life.

And when a woman is embodied, she is radiant.
Expressive.
Confident.
Powerful in her authenticity.

A Different Way In

 Movement. Feminine expression. No performance.

There are fitness retreats. Spiritual retreats.
Motivational, self-help retreats. Dance retreats.

And then, there’s Embody Her in Motion™.

EHM exists in its own category — where movement becomes a way to access the full spectrum of who you are.

This is not a dance workshop. There’s no performance, no pressure to “get it right,” and no expectation to look a certain way.
And this isn’t a motivational or self-help retreat either — though you may feel supported and inspired, just not through traditional methods.

Embody Her in Motion™ is about self-evolution through Latin ballroom dance — inviting women to move toward their most truthful, expressive, powerful selves.

Each dance carries its own rhythm and feminine archetype:

  • Cha Cha awakens playful, unapologetic sass
  • Samba calls forth grounded, primal strength
  • Rumba invites sensitivity, vulnerability, and self-love
  • Jive opens pure, unfiltered joy

This work isn’t about becoming someone else.

EHM is about:
feeling yourself.
knowing yourself.
expressing yourself.

It’s about expanding into more of yourself.

Why I Lead This Work Personally

I’ve spent decades working with women through ballroom dance, and I’ve witnessed how transformative it can be when women move fully embodied — with mind, body, and soul.

Over time, I felt called to take what I had seen again and again on the dance floor and offer it beyond the world of dancers — to women who may have never stepped into a studio, but feel the pull toward something more alive, expressive, and whole.

That’s why this retreat is led by me, in person, throughout the weekend.

This work is personal and tailored. The power of ballroom dance lives in the magic of partner dancing — in moving together, responding to one another, sharing energy, and being fully present with ourselves and each other.

And it matters to me to dance and coach you in person, together, in real time, as you move toward deeper embodiment.

A Little About Me

Hi! I’m Ching.

I’ve lived many lives — academic, dancer, teacher, business owner, mother.

I began my career driven by curiosity about how the mind works and a desire to help people, earning a Ph.D. in Psychology from Stanford and building a successful academic career. But despite the credentials, I was deeply unhappy.

Walking away from that identity was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
Dance was at the center of that turning point.

When I dance, my body, mind, and heart align. There’s nowhere to hide. Dance continually brings me back to what is honest, alive, and true.

I followed that truth into a professional Latin ballroom career, opened a studio with my husband and dance partner, and became a mother of two. Over the years, I’ve coached hundreds of women through ballroom — and witnessed again and again that dance is never just movement.

Women weren’t just learning steps.
They were reconnecting to themselves.

Embody Her in Motion™ was born from that truth — and from my own ongoing evolution as a woman.

The retreat will be held at Firebeat Ballroom — my home studio, a space I created with care as both a dancer and a teacher. Firebeat is designed to invite exploration and encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone while feeling fully supported.

I’m so looking forward to welcoming you into my space and witnessing you move and grow.
