Take a Beat To Reflect.
You are more woman than you know.
What all of you have in common is that you have choice — to amplify the Archetype you already are, or to try a new one on for size.
Because every one of these women lives inside you. The quiz revealed who is most easily accessible right now — but she is not the only one available to you.
The Sassy Flirt. The Sensual Woman. The Ancestress. The Warrior. The Inner Child.
These aren't characters you perform. They are facets of you waiting to come out.
And through embodied movement, you can bring all of them forward.
This is how.

"She's been in your hips all along."
"I don't teach women to dance. I teach them to feel so good being themselves that other women lean over and whisper... 'I want what she's having.'"
Hi, I'm Ching Kao, PhD
I know exactly where you are right now.
I've sat in the car in the garage after a fulfilling day at work - and yet felt numb. Dull. Muted.
I've had the success — and felt nothing. I've been the most capable woman in every room, and the most disconnected from herself.
I have a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology from Stanford. I spent years building the kind of academic career that looks extraordinary from the outside. Yet I was deeply, quietly unhappy.
What saved me wasn't another degree. Another achievement. Another optimized version of my already optimized life.
It was dance.
Because dance leads me to my truest self. When I dance, there is nowhere to hide. My body, my mind, and my heart have to show up together — or the movement doesn't work. Dance brought me back to what was honest, alive, and true in me. And it has done the same for hundreds of women I've coached since.
Dance gave me the courage to face my unhappiness and leave my successful academic career. I went on to become a U.S. Vice Champion in Latin Ballroom and founded Firebeat Ballroom Studios in Boston in 2009. I am also a mother of two vibrant kids — which, if I'm being honest, has been its own kind of embodiment practice.
I have spent nearly two decades watching women walk onto a dance floor as one version of themselves — and walk off as someone they recognize more deeply.
That woman was always in there.
She just needed a way back into her body. And I will be with you every step of it.
How much longer are you going to settle for being just...fine?
STOP THINKING. START BECOMING.
